Carol Tunis Visited St. Augustine on Vacation!
To this day, Carol Tunis remembers the wonderful moment in the late ‘80’s when just passing through St. Augustine, she found the spot she knew she wanted to call home. On her back to Atlanta from visiting Miami and taking a break from her two businesses she ran, she stopped in Daytona at the dog track. After a huge success there, it allowed her to extend her vacation a few days! Traveling up A1A and looking for a place to stay, she found St. Augustine and that was it!
The Beginning of a New Life
Carol searched for years for the right coastal town to call home. When the morning sun rose and Carol started exploring, she was overwhelmed by the beautiful landscape and rich history of the area. Before she knew it, she was returning to St. Augustine at every chance. A lot was purchased for a retirement home, but the more she went back to the hustle-bustle of the big city, the more she desired to stay in St. Augustine. She had discovered a new way of life and focused on making her dreams come true. That happened in 1998!
Carol’s passion for St. Augustine and surrounding communities is just as strong today as it was when she first laid eyes on it. That’s because she learned early on to appreciate what a truly special lifestyle this wonderful environment has to offer local residents.
